My experience with dyslexic people is that they are indeed awesome [In spite of? Because of? Take your pick] their dyslexia, although it is kind of frustrating for them. However, over time, just like we all hopefully do with our inherent strengths and weaknesses, they started to focus on the strengths that dyslexia provided them and defocus on its downsides.
I mean, there are strengths and weaknesses that come with everything. It's kind of oversimplifying to say that dyslexia is awesome. It's definitely not bad. However, there are upsides and downside that come with this learning difference. Like right-brained vs. left brained.
Still, I agree. And thank you for helping me make a case against the Percy Jackson movie. :P
